Licences and Permits

We are legally required to hold relevant mining licences and permits as we undertake mining activities at Cadia.

In addition to the Cadia East Project Approval and subsequent modifications, we also hold several Mining Leases, which provide us with the exclusive right to mine for minerals over a specific area of land.

We also have an Environmental Protection Licence (Approval No 5590) which has licence conditions relating to pollution prevention, monitoring, cleaner production through recycling and reuse and the implementation of best practice.
